Basic working principle of Eas AM security gate

Eas AM security gates are a common retail anti-theft system used to prevent merchandise from being stolen. It consists of a pair of electronic sensors located at the entrance/exit of the store that are bound to the merchandise using special tags or tag stickers to sound an alarm to detect the carry of unpaid merchandise.

Here is the basic working principle of the Eas AM security gate:

Label attachment: The store attaches a special EAS AM label to the product, usually on the product packaging or label.

Sensor setup: Sensors are placed at the entrance/exit of the store, usually near the door frame.

System activation: When the store opens for business, the EAS AM system is activated and the sensors start working.

Detection alarm: When an item with a tag passes through the sensor, the sensor will send a specific frequency signal to the tag.

Tag response: After the tag receives the frequency signal, it generates a response signal and sends it back to the sensor.

Alarm triggering: After the sensor receives the response signal sent by the tag, if the product has not been authorized for payment, the sensor will trigger an alarm and issue a sound or light warning.

The Eas AM security gate system realizes commodity theft prevention by detecting the matching status of labels and commodities. When items without authorized payment pass through the security gate, the sensor detects the presence of the tag and triggers an alarm, alerting store employees or security personnel for further inspection and intervention.

Eas AM security gates are widely used in retail industries, such as supermarkets, department stores, clothing stores, etc., to reduce merchandise theft and loss and improve in-store security.
